Performing across Western Maryland to Eastern Pennsylvania, Justin Starnes & Snaggy Ridge offer original Appalachian Blues. Fast flatpicking and sophisticated fiddling shift tone, tempo and mood to offer a unique blend of traditional and modern sounds anchored by a steady yet playful bass.  Lyrics grounded in the timeless dialects of Americana folk tunes within songs such as "The Docks Again," "Silent Pines," or "East of Richmond" invite individualized interpretations of brooding and beckoning narratives.

Influenced by the expansive lyrics and insidiously simple melodies of John Prine or Townes Van Zandt, Justin Starnes is a published song-writer and has been regularly performing his original music across Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia for more than a decade."Gentle" Jim Colborn is a classically trained violinist seasoned by performing in honky-tonks across Illinois, Missouri and Kansas since the '70s. And Rod Arrington is an established recording session bassist regularly performing with top regional bands across seven states since beginning his professional bass playing career in Texas in the '80s.
